Mini Crochet Flower Pattern (Free) — For A Tiny Flower

Love this? Share it on Pinterest or Facebook.

This mini crochet flower pattern is worked in two colours — yellow for the centre and white for the petals. It's a tiny five‑petal flower designed to pair perfectly with these strawberry motifs, because it creates the classic feel of a wild strawberry blossom. But of course, you can use any combination of colours to turn this pretty flower into your favourite bloom. Try using blue yarn for a forget-me-not, or pink yarns for cherry blossom.

Mini Crochet Flower Pattern FAQs

How long does it take to make one flower?

Most makers finish a mini flower in 10-15 minutes. They’re perfect for quick wins, stash‑busting and adding to bigger projects like wreaths, garlands, and also junk journalling or scrapbooking.

Can I use a different yarn weight for my mini flower?

Yes — the pattern works with any yarn weight. Double Knitting (light worsted weight; 8-ply) gives a neat mini flower, cotton 4‑ply makes a tiny micro‑flower, whereas aran weight (wosted; 10-ply) creates a larger appliqué.

Do I have to use two colours?

Not at all although the two colours used here (yellow + white) create the classic strawberry flower effect.

Can beginners make this pattern?

Absolutely — it’s ideal for beginners because it uses simple stitches and only two rounds. Therefore it’s a great confidence‑boosting motif.

What can I use the flower for?

Because these flowers are small, they are perfect for appliquéhair clipsbroochesgarlandsstrawberry projects, and spring decorations.

How do I attach the flower to my project?

Use a wool needle to sew through the centre ring, or glue it with a small dab of fabric glue if attaching to accessories.
