Free Crochet Macaron Pattern - Easy Dessert Crochet
Looking for a fun and free crochet macaron pattern? Then my Mini Macaron Dessert is just what you need! This free crochet cake pattern is perfect for those who love whimsical, quick makes, and it's also great for using up small oddments of yarn.
Why You'll Love This Free Crochet Macaron Pattern
The Mini Macaron Dessert Pattern features half double crochet stitch (UK half treble crochet). Each macaron is made by crocheting two halves of the macaron, which are then joined by slip stitch. You stuff the macaron as you join. Therefore no sewing is needed, apart from weaving in the ends.
Made with small amounts of yarn, this project is a fantastic for using up leftovers, and is an ideal choice for a quick and easy make.
How to get your Free Crochet Macaron Pattern
- Read the free version of the pattern below, so you can get started right away.
- Pattern is provided in US crochet terms, also followed by UK crochet terms.
Yarn and Stitches
To achieve the gorgeous smooth texture, this pattern uses half double crochet stitches (US terms), or half treble crochet stitches (UK terms). These stitches are easy to master and also create a pleasing result. I am so pleased with how realistic they look, especially with the crocheted strawberries. You can find the pattern link to the strawberries at the end of this post.
I’ve used oddments of Scheepjes Catona Cotton, which is available in a range of beautiful colours.
Why Crochet Your Own Macarons?
- Perfect for scrap yarn - These tiny treats use up small amounts of yarn, therefore making them a great stash-busting project.
- Quick and satisfying - Crochet macarons are fast to make, so they’re ideal for when you want a fun, instant-gratification project.
- Great for gifts and décor - They make adorable keychains, play food for kids, or charming decorations for tea parties and special occasions.
