Crochet Flower Wreath Pattern (Free) - easy stash buster
If you’re looking for a free crochet flower wreath pattern that helps you use up small amounts of yarn, this is a simple and satisfying make. This small wreath is worked in separate pieces, making it ideal for dipping into your yarn stash and using up those leftover 4ply cotton scraps.
Each flower and leaf is quick to crochet, and once you’ve made a few, they are attached onto a simple cardboard ring (or you can use a shop-bought flat wreath instead). It’s an easy way to turn oddments into something decorative and useful for your home, or as a thoughtful and colourful handmade gift.

Why You’ll Love This Free Crochet Flower Wreath Pattern
This project is all about simple stitches and small wins. You can make a flower or leaf in just a few minutes, which makes it perfect if only have short amounts of time available.
It’s also a great stash-busting project. Those small balls of cotton yarn that are too little for bigger projects work perfectly here. You can mix colours, use what you already have, and therefore create something completely unique.
Another reason to love this pattern is its flexibility. You can make your wreath full and bright, use natural tones, or pastel shades. It would work perfectly for different seasons too, depending on your colour choices. You could make one for each season of the year.

How to Use This Free Pattern
You can follow the pattern exactly as written, or use it as a base to create your own version.
- Make as many or as few flowers and leaves as you like.
- Change colours to suit your home or the season.
- Use different yarn textures for added interest.
- Adjust the size of your cardboard ring to make a larger or smaller wreath.
This pattern is designed to be easy to customise, so you can work with what you already have in your yarn stash.
Level of Difficulty
This is an easy 'next steps' crochet pattern.
You’ll need to be comfortable with basic stitches and working small motifs. The pattern is repetitive once you’ve made your first flower and leaf, so it’s a good project to work on while relaxing and switching off.

- Cut 3 x 30cm lengths of any colour yarn, plait or braid together and tie ends.
- Glue ends to back of wreath to make a hanging loop.
