Crochet (and knitting) home decor is one of my favourite ways to use up leftover yarn, because these projects don’t need large quantities. Many work well with odd balls, small skeins, or yarn held double. And best of all, the things you make actually get used.

So, if you enjoy crochet home decor or knitting home decor, dip into this list and choose one small project to start with.

How to use this Crochet and Knitting Home Decor Ideas List

To find a relevant pattern, I recommend using Pinterest because it's a great search engine, as well as being a visual platform. Follow my tips below to search for relevant patterns:

  • Firstly, in the search bar, type either 'knitted' or 'crochet'.
  • Then add the given idea from the list of 35 below.
  • Finally, type 'pattern' (or 'free pattern') at the end.
  • For example: Knitted draught excluder pattern. This will bring up plenty of options for you to choose from.

Note that all the images below are my own designs, which I've used as examples. Over time, most of these will eventually be available as free patterns too. Where they already exist, I have added the link.
