In-between the Seasons: Stash-busting Projects

Ideas for wearable pieces and home décor you can make from your stash. Perfect for those times when the weather can’t decide what to do. Clear out your yarn leftovers, whilst creating practical wardrobe staples. Click the image to download (and see download instructions above).

Blanket Sizes Chart

Not sure how big to make your blanket? This free printable blanket size chart shows the most common blanket sizes, from baby to king. Keep it handy when you’re planning your next project, whether you’re using up scraps or starting something new. Click the image to download (and see download instructions above).

Mixing Yarn Fibres Guide

Not sure if you can combine cotton with wool, or how acrylic works with mohair? This handy chart shows you the properties of different fibres, what they’re great for, and how to care for them when mixed in one project. Perfect for stash-busting and creating unique textures in your knitting or crochet.

Yarn Stash Bingo Sheet

A simple and fun activity that actually gets you using your stash. Just print off the free card, pick a square, and start ticking things off.

No pressure. No rules. Just progress.

Each square is a mini challenge — like “use a colour you don’t love” or “make something in less than an hour.” You’ll soon feel inspired again, and those scraps will finally become something fab.

Mindful Work-In-Progress Project Page

Imagine this: You find (yet another) old WIP (work in progress) in your stash - half-finished, not quite right, and missing something (like the original yarn).

Do you unravel it, force yourself unwillingly to finish it, or just put it back in the cupboard, and pretend you didn't see it!!!

Instead of forcing yourself to finish the project as originally planned, reimagine what it could be. Repurpose instead of restarting - and get that satisfying finished feeling without more yarn or pressure.

Here's a free printable reflection sheet to help you track why you paused a project, how it felt to finish it, and what you'll do with it now.
